While under anesthesia, a woman has a conversation with the human embodiment of her fibroid — a smug, infuriating jerk who’s just as terrified of being removed as she is of the operation itself.
After her grandmother’s funeral, a socially awkward woman becomes obsessed with her new pet hermit crab and discovers she might be the one who needs to come out of her shell.
Based on a true story, a woman visits her childhood best friend, who is dying of breast cancer, and finds herself suspended in the quiet unreality of watching someone her own age slowly slip away.
